II. Submission Format

  • Each participating team consists of 1-3 middle school students from the same school, each team can have 1-2 instructors.
  • High school teams need to obtain approval and registration from their school, and submit their application for paper submission to the organizing committee via email after being signed by a school teacher.
  • Participants should log in to the registration website(www.ilab-bio.com), create an account, and fill out and submit their participation materials online. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

Submission Report

  • File Format: The submission report should be submitted in PDF format to ensure clarity and readability.
  • Originality Requirement: We sincerely welcome submissions of original papers in related fields that have not been published in domestic or international academic journals. Submitted works must guarantee originality and strictly prohibit plagiarism, ghostwriting, or other academic misconduct.
  • Compliance Requirement: The research content and process must strictly comply with national laws and regulations and must not violate public order and good morals. Additionally, the research scope should avoid projects involving foods, tobacco, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices that pose physiological or psychological harm to humans or animals.
  • Paper Quality: Research papers should report relatively complete and comprehensive original work, with substantial content, clear logic, and reliable data.
  • Abstract and Full Text: For this call for papers, we recommend submitting either Chinese or English extended abstracts along with full-text research reports for initial screening.
  • Ethical Guidelines: All research must adhere to internationally recognized ethical guidelines, especially for studies involving humans, which must strictly fulfill informed consent procedures and conduct ethical reviews as required to ensure the legality and morality of the research.
  • Publication Opportunities: The organizing committee will include all conference paper abstracts that meet the requirements and, through expert review, prioritize recommendations for publication in core journals of the Biological Engineering Society and journals cooperating with the conference.

Academic Integrity Statement

Students and guiding teachers of the participating teams must carefully read the statement, sign and confirm in the designated positions, and affix the official seal of the school or the academic affairs office. After signing and stamping, the Academic Integrity Statement should be scanned and uploaded in PDF format to the registration system.

Plagiarism Report

The participating teams are required to upload a plagiarism report corresponding to the final version of their paper before the paper submission deadline to prove the originality of their work.

Others

Additional Materials: Experimental videos, algorithm codes, relevant graphic and text materials, etc., can be optionally submitted to enrich the content of the paper and enhance its research value.

IV. Posters

We welcome the submission of conference posters.

  • The specifications for the posters are: 90cm (width) * 120cm (height).
  • After approval, please bring the printed version to the designated exhibition area at the venue for display.
  • The conference will select and award certificates for “Excellent Posters.”

V. Award Selection

The forum will select and award certificates for the following awards:

VI. Special Notes

  • Submission in Written Form is Invalid: Submissions in written form will not be accepted as valid entries.
  • No Changes to Advisor and Student Information After Submission: Once the research report is submitted, the information of the advisor and participating students cannot be changed.
  • Submit All Entries Truthfully: All entry information must be submitted truthfully. If any breach of the principle of integrity is found upon verification, the organizer will disqualify the individual/team from participating and notify the principal of the relevant school.
  • Proper Citation Required: Research methods and conclusions borrowed from others should be properly cited and listed in the references. Participating teams need to be familiar with the citation norms commonly used in academic journals or papers.
  • Disqualification for High Plagiarism Rate: If the plagiarism rate of the research report exceeds 10% in the plagiarism check, the organizer will disqualify the team from participating.

VII. Intellectual Property Rights

  • The methods and results independently proposed in the research report belong to the research team.
  • The organizer has the right to use the submitted works for promotional purposes related to the 2025 International Conference on Biomedicine and Artificial Intelligence (The High School Sub-forum). The organizing committee will include all qualifying paper abstracts in the conference and, after expert review, recommend outstanding works for publication in related academic journals

VIII. Declarations

  • The iLAB Organizing Committee is responsible for interpreting and revising this Participation Guide.
  • Registration for the 2025 International Conference on Biomedicine and Artificial Intelligence (High School and Middle School Sub-forum) is free of charge, and no fees will be charged throughout the process.
  • The conference aims to provide an international exchange platform for teenagers passionate about bioscience, promoting scientific research innovation and talent cultivation. Participants are required to abide by conference discipline and academic norms, jointly maintaining a good academic atmosphere.
